Home / about
Velliaue started in a rented studio above a Lisbon bakery, on the belief that “considered” and “fast” don’t have to be opposites. Ten seasons later that belief still runs every decision — from the mills we choose to the seams that don’t need a second look.
We design in small, deliberate collections rather than an endless drop calendar, because a wardrobe built slowly is a wardrobe you actually wear.
Every pattern is fit-tested across five body types before it’s approved. Seams are finished the way couture ateliers finish them — because a garment that survives fifty washes is the actual sustainable choice.
We produce in runs of 200–400 pieces, work with mills that publish their water usage, and pay every atelier partner above local living wage — audited annually, not just promised.
No logos shouting from the outside. The confidence is in the cut, the drape, the way a coat sits on the shoulder — the kind of quality people ask about quietly, not loudly.
